Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at MSISG. The entire gym was transformed into a fantasy land for the elementary grade students with a bouncy castle, toy trains and various other games. Early in the day, each teacher conducted discussions with the students on the freedoms they enjoyed as children and guided them to an awareness of children's rights. The children showed remarkable insight in detailing the freedoms they enjoyed: to play, to express their opinions, a right to education, good food and the right to be loved. Colorful posters about the joys of childhood were put together by each group, and each student found representation on it. All the posters were displayed in the gym. The children then indulged in a painting session and printed designs of their choice on t-shirts. At the end of the program, all the students watched a presentation on the joys of childhood.
