MSISG organized its first formal parent-teacher conference of the second term as part of our on-going efforts to build a strong partnership between parents and teachers. Since parents are important stakeholders in the school community, their input and concerns are very important for the school as it strives to constantly better itself. It is also an opportunity for teachers to get an insight into each child's unique personality, habits, strengths and weaknesses, so that they can work more effectively with the child in school.
At our school conference, parents met their child's teachers to discuss the child's progress in school. One-on-one meetings helped facilitate meaningful dialogue between the parents and teachers.
The school principal and vice-principal were on hand to listen to any concerns the parents may have had. A written form was also available for parents to write down any issues they wished to express .
