School Books
Curriculum experts at Manarat Al-Madinah International Schools believe that textbooks are of high importance as they provide a wide field of spontaneous and creative interaction in and outside the classroom. At MMIS we believe that learning cannot happen without the right tools. Our subject specialists guide learners to achieve specific educational goals, and for that both educators and learners both need textbooks. As these textbooks play a pivotal role in the process of teaching and learning, they are developed by experts in education taking into account the different stages of learners and learning.
The Philosophy of Students Using TextbooksTextbooks aim to provide understandable inputs for students, enable them to appropriately absorb sciences with confidence, and help them develop their reading and understanding skills. Curricula: Formal and Enrichment
We are all mindful that we live in a rapidly changing world and that we are preparing our students for life where they may be working in jobs that do not currently exist yet, employing technologies that have not yet been invented so far. Through the American curriculum, Manarat Al-Madinah places significant emphasis on the development of personal learning and thinking skills that will result in our students being able to adapt to changing circumstances, enabling and empowering them to meet the demands of their future lives.
Electronic Teaching Aids for TextbooksManarat Al Madinah International Schools provide educational systems to support the school textbook, and this is done through simplifying the sciences in the textbook, and adding enrichment materials that better suit the students’ needs in the cognitive, emotional, creative and dynamic fields as well as enabling them to delve deep into every subject so that students can gain more knowledge. The school also provides an e-learning system, Maarif Learning Gate (MLG), which is the applied tool for learning using computers and technology in both synchronous and asynchronous methods.Via Maarif Learning Gate, it is possible to do a list of online activities such as educational classes, exams, submitting assignments, doing research, evaluating students, marking exams and home assignments, establishing audio and video virtual classes, instant messaging between learners and teachers, creating discussion forums about each subject, distributing roles and assignments between students, planning lessons and analyzing students’ marks and data. This learning gate is constantly updated with educational materials by teachers and supervised by a specialized technical team that provides support for students and parents all the time. Students and parents receive entry data at the beginning of the year to follow up on all the work and to carry out the needed communication. |
